Position Description:
This position is for ’s Portfolio and Project Management.
QA Engineers at are involved in capturing the testing requirements for the assigned functional areas, creating detailed test cases (e.g. MAT, functional, integration, and end to end), executing test cases, validating design and product requirements, identifying and reporting defects and mentoring junior engineers. QA Engineers will be working with functional designers and the development group to understand designs and translate them into testing requirements and test cases. This position requires working in a global organization with counterparts currently in Israel, Ukraine and United States. They are also expected to assist with defining and improving QA processes within our SDLC and testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop, review, implement and maintain test plans for a product or major subsystem within the PPM suite.
• Assist QA management with scope and coverage planning
• Develop, review, implement and maintain quality assurance systems and procedures
• Effectively communicate status and issues with Development, Program Management, and QA management.
• Monitor and maintain test cases for assigned product areas and analyze additional needs for future releases
• Contribute to process and methodology improvements and best practices
• Work closely with the CPE team to ensure test improvements on “escaping” defects.
• Work closely with Functional and Technical developers on planning and resolution of defects
Requirements: Essential Education, Skills and Environment
Education and Work Experience
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years in software development testing
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience with testing and/or developing a client-server application
• Experience in testing web-based enterprise applications
• Experience with applications built in Java and a database back-end.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Unix platforms
• Experience with automated testing tools (Quick Test Professional or Winrunner is a plus)
• Working knowledge of JUnit a plus but not required
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Good understanding of the software development life cycle (Agile, SCRUM, XP)
