Sorry - cannot type Chinese at work
Leading Chinese LED (light-emitting diodes) chip manufacturers is seeking investment for its expansion. We are open to transfer up to 49% of equity to the outside investors. We also seek help for firms who can help us raise money either through an IPO or private placement.
A brief introduction of the company:
1. The company is relatively new (since 09/2003) but currently is in production and has operations in California and several cities in China
2. The total assets are roughly US$30 mm, current monthly sales is between US$0.5-1 mm (rapidly growing every month since the first of production in March 2004). The company can sell anything it is able to produce at the time.
3. The industry - LED is the most important innovation in lighting since the invention of light bulb by Edison. It is widely used in mobile phone (back lighting), toys, traffic lights, autos (brake and signal light) and defense.
4. The market - 70% of the global LED chip manufacturers are in Asia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and China. Japan and selective US firms are the techlogy leader in the high-end market while China plays in the low end market
5. Our company's technology is leading in Asia - ex Japan
6. LED chip business is capital intensive. Therefore, low-cost producers have to achieve economy of scale to be successful.
7. Use of funds - the company intends to use proceeds to purchase new equipment and expand production capacity by at least 100%.
8. The company is open to raise funds through a "shell" acquisition and would appreciate any advice on this
