This is a newly created leadership opportunity to join an established market leading, strategically important and successful Joint Venture subsidiary of an American corporation, based in Ningbo, China.
A programme of significant investment and organizational change is underway and the JV, a composite site with over 1,000 employees, wishes to appoint an exceptional, operationally focused Manufacturing Director to lead the development of this manufacturing and supply chain organization as it builds market share.
The Role
•Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, you will be responsible for achieving world-class manufacturing standards and operational excellence, providing leadership to create a ‘Quality Business Culture’ based on continuous improvement and high achievement of Key Performance Indicators.
•This hands-on, autonomous role with P&L responsibility for the site will align Planning, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, EHS & Sustainability, Quality Deployment, Project Management, Costing, Capital Expenditure, Finance and Human Resources, behind increasingly complex customer demands and operational objectives.
•Proven leadership and vision, ensuring that standard policies and procedures are embedded and the capabilities of the workforce are empowered / developed to ensure that exceptional level of product quality, customer service and EHS&S are established and maintained.
Your Credentials
•You will have a successful manufacturing management track record in working for Global companies. Well versed in batch manufacturing, preferably from the sewing thread or related industries in PRC.
•An articulate, intelligent and credible individual who is familiar with the implementation of modern management techniques for Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Operational Control and Supply Chain Management within a cross-cultural JV environment.
•Someone who possesses genuine leadership skills and can illustrate previous experience of successfully leading and motivating a team with diverse cultural backgrounds to achieve clear but also challenging objectives.
•Able to demonstrate a proven track record of improving existing working practices to achieve advancements in efficiency, quality, EHS&S as well as profitability and growth.
•Ability to handle Change Management and Project Management will be added advantages.
•Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
