General Purpose
We are looking for a technical leader in the field of Content Delivery Networks and related areas.
He/she will be responsible for the correct selection, the delivery and the deployment of new technologies in this field, service adoptions or releases. He/she is expected to guide and support changes to pre-production and live production environments in a professional and highly controlled manner with the objective of making best use of CDN technologies across Nokia's consumer internet services.
Key Tasks
• Identifies CDN-related strategies based on current state, existing technologies, business requirements, and business strategies
• Creates target architectures for consumer internet services in the context of content delivery
• Consults individual consumer internet services
• Identifies matching content delivery technologies onto requirements
• Creates internal and external networks related to selected strategic technologies
• Supports solution architecture and system engineering competence development
• Participates in system engineering reviews
• Participates in vendor & supplier relationship management at the technology and architectural level
Our ideal candidates have 8-12 years relevant experience and are recognized experts in their field (depth & breadth).
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
• Ability to capture business needs and priorities, turning them into technical understandings
• Ability to create working relationships with the business stakeholders & to explain IT matters in business terms
• In-depth Internet Service & Internet Content Delivery Services understanding
• Good customer centricity and communication skills
• Ability to grasp the big picture
• Ability to work across a global team, internal global customers and external global vendors
• Ability to master technical concepts and details
• Ability to identify relevant metrics and quantify impacts
• Existing network towards 3rd party CDN suppliers is a plus
