The Role:
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and results-driven Editorial Director of English Language Learning (ELL) to enhance interactive curriculum design and production. This position requires the candidate to manage a group of curriculum developers and editors in order to create engaging and effective interactive curricula.
Job Description:
As an Editorial Director your responsibilities will be to:
Participate in creating the company's short-term and long-term goals and strategies and to provide curriculum advice;
Develop and implement an overall curriculum vision and preferred pedagogies in association with product department;
Manage and coach a team of ELL editors and curriculum developers and work with them to design and develop high quality, engaging, and effective ELL curricula;
Evaluate the quality and teaching effectiveness of interactive curricula;
Allocate curriculum resources to current projects according to priority and cost;
Establish and refine various communication and collaboration protocols, policies, and SOP to ensure effective productivity and project management.
Job Requirements:
BA/BS degree in English, Education, or related field (or other if native/near-native speaker of English);
Pre-service ESOL certificate (such as TEFL, CELTA, or Trinity ESOL);
5+ years experience with from-scratch production of medium and long-term curricula and materials for all levels of ELL students;
3+ years management experience in curriculum design, production, and evaluation;
Familiar with teaching and testing methodologies;
Familiar with software and the Internet-assisted learning;
High level of accountability, strong initiative, good analytical and management skills;
Outstanding communication skills in English (with some familiarity with Mandarin);
