IP & Broadband Network Management System I&V Engineer
Job objective:
To be responsible to perform IP & Broadband network management system test with multi-access network end to end environment, to ensure the integrated overall network quality for customer and product.
Responsibilities:
1. Install and integrate network management system servers and equipments, together with managed equipments, to setup the end to end lab environment
2. Design and perform integration test, function test and performance test, to test fault management, performance management, configuration management etc. of the NMS solution
3. Work closely with designers, analyze and report the bugs and fix problems.
4. Work closely with NMS and managed product development organization, drive issue resolving
5. Drive quick resolution of the problems by coordinating the tests with hardware and software engineers and system design
6. Work on customer requirement
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Knowledge of IP and xDSL, PON, ON, MW, DWDM and other L2 or L3 protocols and networks products.
2. Solid knowledge of network management system, know how on NMS testing
3. Experience with the following equipment is preferred: IXIA, N2X, Test Center
4. Certificate of Cisco, Juniper, and HuaWei Datacom products is a plus
5. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
6. Knowledge of basic UNIX operation is required
7. Strong teamwork skills
IP & Broadband Network Management System Development Engineer
Job objective:
1. This position is to develop IP and broadband product in MINI link products area, where Ericsson takes the industry leading role.
2. As software design engineer, develop or modify the products to meet the customer's requirements as well as fulfill the business requirements on cost, time and quality.
Responsibilities:
1. Actively participate in the development and maintenance of data communication part on MINI link products.
2. Customer's requirement analysis and system impact investigation
3. Responsible for writing technical documents, e.g. Implementation proposal, Design specification, Test specification, and etc.
4. Responsible for coding, unit Test, basic integration Test of SW functions
5. Integrate software with third part software modules
6. Review source code & documents
7. Efficiently communicate with engineers from other teams in China and other countries
Qualifications
1. M.Sc. in Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering or related discipline
2. 3+ years experience in low layer software development of L2/L3 switches
3. Strong C/C++ programming skills
4. Capacity for independent thinking
5. Extensive knowledge in data communication or telecommunications;
6. Working experience in understanding/developing network protocols such as MPLS, IPv4/v6, Ethernet
7. Experience in Ethernet and Broadcom chip/SDK is a big plus.
8. Must be self-motivated, good team player; be able to work cohesively within the team and across geographically spread teams to accomplish results
9. Embeded Linux OS experience
10. Good technical writing, communication skills and high proficiency in English
