Day to day responsibilities:
a. tech center responsibilities will include:
i. Overseeing the localization of US and Japanese tech center contents back and forth (the actual translation will be done by an agency)
ii. Taking actions to drive traffic to the tech center
iii. Create and record content on enterprise hardware
iv. Ensure that the relevant topics / information on tech center is maintained properly
b. But more than that, this person will be the owner of social networking strategy execution in China from LE perspective. This includes reaching out to social media, actively engaging in Dell technology related conversations, and listen / drive feedback.
Versed in social media tools and outlets such as :
LinkedIn, Twitter, FaceBook, YouTube, Windows Live Writer, TweetDeck, Google Alerter, Radian 6, etc.
Ability to create and record demos/papers/content on enterprise hardware using tools such as Camtasia, then produce and edit for posting on YouTube and blogs.
Skills in enterprise hardware and applications including; x86 Server hardware, Blade solutions, Intel and AMD procs, Networking, Virtualization with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, Oracle, Exchange, SQL-Server, Windows 2008 R2, iSCSI and Fibre storage, SAP, 10Gbit technologies, backup and replication applications.
Relationship building with internal and external teams to drive technical content on blogs and social media properties.
Customer relation skills to listen and hear customers to drive feedback back to engineering.
Public speaking skills to create and present topics in front of large audiences at trade shows, as well as interact directly with customers via twitter, chat, and discussions on the web.
