Just give you one fact. 2007 春节when I happened to be in China, it had a market correction. Was it on Feb. 26 or 27, 2007? I remember quite clearly because on Feb. 28 I bought online some MSFT shares at $28.13 from Shanghai. SHXXXT I wish I kept Yahoo stocks. Anyway, after the Shanghai correction I put some money into Shanghai stock market and I have not touched it at all ever since. My friends manage them for me for buying and selling and rotating, and I don't ask them questions or second guess their judgement. So far as of yesterday closing, it is up about 35% and it was about 80% in equity and 20% in cash. I will pay a little more attention when one year is up. 
For your reference only.
I really don't know where you can park your money there, assuming you will have no need to touch the money for 5-10 years. The bank interests have been up a little but still far from enough to catch the inflation rate there, so you have a negative return; the stock market is always a little scary; the real estate requires lots of initial money and there is no guarantee to make profits and there may be a bubble as well. So you are running out of options in China. Cash under the pillows is definitely out of fashion. You are between a rock and the hard place.
