You need to stay at one of bungalows above the crystal clear turquoise water. You'd feel very much close to unspoiled nature, peaceful with complete relaxation. Make sure you get some finest jewelry made by Tahiti pearls, the second best in my view right next to pink ones from Japan.
Tahiti is different from Hawaii in that it is less commercialized and less traveled. But more expensive than any of Hawaii islands. Another difference is that Hawaii is more or less a dream destination for general public while Tahiti for rich. In short, it is like BMW versus Rolls Royce. Hope it helps.
